Vivat Dubček, Vivat Sloboda

Story

Five Estonian youngsters are looking forward to spend summer of 1968 in Czechoslovakia as members of „Student building brigade“. Travelling abroad is still very rare among Soviet people and this journey offers a unique opportunity, first time in their life. They work in the forests near the Iron Curtain for a couple of weeks and then they are allowed to travel around the country. While visiting Bratislava they witness the Soviet troops invading the city. They have a lot to tell about shooting on the streets, urban battles, victims, and also some incidents they had with the occupation forces. Details on their return home are of great interest too, particularly their enthusiasm in supporting Dubček and revolting against the agression.
